Ms. Rikke Hennum of the United Nations Free & Equal campaign, to headline GGBA’s Annual Meeting!
In the tradition of Legacy and Vision, at this year's annual meeting and Make Contact, the GGBA and Gap, Inc. are proud to be highlighting our collaborations with the United Nations, which date back to 1995 and continue to impacting positive change today.
In 1995, aligned with the United Nation’s 50th Anniversary celebration, members of the GGBA worked together with the UN in the creation of the world’s first Global Tribunal for LGBTI Human Rights. Today Gap, Inc. in conjunction with GapGEAR, Gap, Inc.'s, LGBT BRG, and in partnership with the United Nation Free & Equal Campaign, actively supports positive change for LGBTQI people throughout the United States and the world.
Come out on 9/11/18, and hear more about how to get involved and be part of the solution, through the inspiring work being done right here in San Francisco and around the world, championing LGBTQI rights.
UN Free & Equal is a global United Nations campaign for equal rights and the fair treatment of lesbian, gay, bi, trans and intersex (LGBTI) people world-wide. UN Free & Equal launched a set of LGBTI standards of conduct for business that offers the private sector concrete guidance on how they can stand up for the rights of LGBTI people. The standards were launched in New York, Mumbai, London, Paris, Hong Kong and Melbourne in 2017, accompanied by a massive social media campaign that reached more than 183 million social media feeds during the last three months of 2017.
And for all current GGBA business members: Don't forget to VOTE!
